Duties and Responsibilities: A radiation therapist treats cancer and other diseases in patients by administering radiation treatment.

• They explain treatment plans to the patient and answer questions about the treatment
• They follow safety procedures to protect the patient and themselves from overexposure to radiation

Salary: $80,090

Education: You must have an associates or bachelors degree in radiation therapy.

Demand for this Profession: It is projected to grow 14% from 2014 to 2024.

 

Reflection: I would not like to be a radiation therapist. This requires lots and lots of patience which is something i don’t have a lot of. It also requires you to deal with the patient's bad attitude and other small things I don’t tolerate.
