This specifically tells you that you should always stand up for whats right. Even if you don't have the support of others. One person can make a difference because eventually every one else is going to want to be like them and then they'll start to mock what you do. This will lead to everyone else doing whats right. Don't worry nor care about standing for whats right alone. I'm pretty sure you'll succeed more than those who are so-called your sentences. You will sooner or later be that light they decide to follow.
